Answer: Well, fhe Anarchist Black Cross, i believe starfed during the
revolution of 1905 in Russia so anarchist prisoners would be
supported and it has been an infemational source of serious prisoner
support ever since, fo various degrees. We fry fo support prisoners -
and notjust anarchist ones - in many ways and ty fo raise the level
of resistance fo the gulag system, in many ways. We feel fhat prisons
are the epicenter of the oppression here in Amerika and must be
focused on. Chicago ABC has only been around since March of
2001, but the South Chicago ABC Zine Distro, which I run, has been
going since 1998. It has over 250 different zines available, most of
them being prisoner zines.

receive mail from all over the world - all the major anarchist

publications, several ofhers and comespond with dozens of prisoners,

some of whom are the most biiiant and talented witers and arfists

‘guess | would say, | was most influenced by the lucid anarchist
propagandists, such as Johann Most and Luigi Galleani. For, that's
